Volunteers

The Winthrop Public Library has always made great use of volunteers of all ages. Over the years, they’ve made valuable contributions to our library by assisting us with a wide range of tasks and we appreciate every single one of them.  Each year the Library utilizes volunteers that come to us through the town’s Senior Citizen Volunteer/Tax Liability Reduction Program and through the Parks and Recreation Summer Program, as well as individual volunteers seeking to complete community service hours for their school or to satisfy another commitment.
If you’re interested in giving back to your community by volunteering at the library, or have a special skill to share, please call or stop by to see us. Our needs and our ability to take on all volunteers changes throughout the year, but we’re happy to accommodate when we can. Call or email Director Greg McClay or Assistant Director Mary Lou Osborne.
